New York, New York December 12, 2006
Maybe I should subtitle this one “East Coast Arty” — I’d like to announce that Andrew and I are in New York to perform our AC Dickson: eBay PowerSeller show, opening tonight and running through Thursday:
Are you ready to change your life through the power of eBay? Well, you’re in luck!
The AC Dickson: eBay PowerSeller Seminar is coming to New York City.
It plays December 12-14th at 7pm each night at the EFA Gallery, 323 West 39th St, 2nd floor. We’ll be going out for drinks every night after the show too, so if you want to talk crafty or eBay, please join us!
Tickets are $10 and are available on eBay or at the door.
Using PowerPoint, rock anthems, and audience interaction, Andrew “AC” Dickson and Susan Beal are out to convince you that eBay selling is personally lucrative, good for this country, and ultimately a meaningful step towards world peace and a better tomorrow. A performance art piece that also works as a comedic anti-corporate corporate seminar, AC Dickson: eBay PowerSeller is absolutely the best hour-long eBay education around, as well as “a very astute, highly entertaining treatise on capitalism, market forces, and the American dream that carries wry hints of send-up and satire.” –– The Glasgow Herald
So what’s crafty about all this? Well, if you’re looking to sell your work or just the craft supplies you bought and never used, eBay is a great place to start (along with etsy, of course). And there are tons of unusual things to buy as well — whether you’re looking for vintage Lucite beads or fabric, there are thousands of auctions up for crazy crafty stuff at any one time, and serious deals to be had.
I’ll be back tomorrow with some suggestions for brick-and-mortar shopping, including my favorite New York bead and fabric stores, too!
